Housing Advocacy

Staff can assist survivors of domestic violence, rape and crime victims in finding affordable housing by communicating with the department of social services, talking to landlords and going with clients to look at apartments.

We can advise clients of what kinds of help they may be eligible to receive to supplement their ability to obtain or maintain housing. We can assist in finding financial resources including help with rent, security deposit and help with utilities.

Once a survivor has found a place to live we can assist with making longer term arrangements with department of social services and landlords, and budgeting their income to afford their basic needs
