I want to donate to ANHC, but I'd like my money to go towards helping ANHC in a specific way. What categories of donations are there?

You can donate to ANHC in any of the following ways:

Unrestricted:
This means that you are donating to A New Hope Center and allowing the organization to decide how best to allocate the funds. This could be money used towards anything that the organization may need, from assisting clients with general safety to supporting our staff.

Housing Support:
This program assists our survivors with housing needs. This typically would include helping them with rent in their new home for a period of time, although other housing needs are always considered.

Employment Support:
Oftentimes a survivor is attempting to re-enter the workforce, but had to leave everything behind when they escaped their abuser. This fund assists survivors with needs related to employment such as clothing, work boots, or other essentials needed for specific careers.

Education Support:
Sometimes survivors are ready to make a big change in their lives, and choose to go back to school. We can help with enrollment fees, books, a laptop, or other educational funding needs.

Other:
Perhaps none of the other categories address what you'd like to help with specifically. Please feel free to suggest how you would prefer your donation to be used, and we will do our best to maintain the integrity of your donation.

We also encourage you to donate "In Memory" or "In Honor" of someone who has lived with domestic violence. By helping other survivors, you are helping to end abuse.

Besides money, what other donations do you accept or not accept?

A New Hope Center is always grateful for your donations! To start, unless specifically requested (usually on our Facebook or Instagram Pages) we do not accept the following:

We do NOT accept the following:
-Clothing
-Large items such as stoves, refrigerators, beds

We DO accept and encourage:
-Toiletries
-Unused cleaning products
-Deodorants (for both men and women)
-Feminine hygiene products
-Twin sized bedding
-Unused bed pillows
-Diapers and Pull-ups in all sizes
-Baby wipes (any, but hypo-allergenic are especially loved)
-Toothpaste/toothbrushes
-Lotion
-Shampoo/Conditioner
-Body wash
-Towels and washcloths

This is by no means a comprehensive list of acceptable donations. We encourage you to reach out if you have a question about donations. If you require a receipt for a donation for tax purposes, please ask!
